     The Mattatuck Trail offers hiking at its best, and Woodbury is a brilliant local ski area. For the duration of the summer, highs frequently are in the 80's at Hills Pond Number 1. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Hills Pond Number 1. Get your heart beating on the brilliant whitewater of Bantam River. Everybody loves Black Rock State Park;  
   hiking is a popular thing to do around Hills Pond Number 1; Naugatuck Trail is a delightful local trail.
If you like skiing, you're in luck; Mount Southington is in the neighborhood of Hills Pond Number 1; if you're going to from New Haven-Milford, you won't be the only one.                stay Holiday Inn Express WATERBURY is a delightful choice. The sight of City Hill from Hills Pond Number 1 is scenic, and Pritchards Pond is a nearby lake that you could pop by.
Hills Pond Number 1 gets much water; during August this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! Hills Pond Number 1 rules! While you're here at Hills Pond Number 1 you can play some golf at Highland Golf Course; if you're here, you could also visit pretty Hills Pond Number 2. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Black Rock State Park is always a delightful experience, and why not a little side trip to Beaver Pond Brook.
Why not take a refreshing hike along the Tunxis Trail, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can take a look at Pritchards Pond Dam. This lake is so wonderful. Hills Pond Number 1 is great enough to spend more than a day at, Gentile's Camp Ground is a great local campground, and Courtyard Waterbury Downtown is a nice location to get some rest.
