All the water falling down from the sky makes Hills Pond a wet spot; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with the least moisture. Not far from Hills Pond, you'll locate Buckland Pond which is a gorgeous lake; since you're here you can take a hike along the Washington Trail. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Hills Pond while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's.       The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while Hills Pond night low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. Really fine skiing awaits you at Powder Ridge; Nelson's Family Campground is a good campground nearby. Hiking along the Mattabesset Trail is splendid fun, and there's always Addison Pond Dam to pop by close to Hills Pond. Some nearby water includes Folly Brook; going for a hike along the Metacomet Trail will let you absorb the natural                  beauty of this area. At Hills Pond you can make out Bush Hill; Hills Pond is a good site to visit for more than one day, Camp Eagle Feather is a good site to camp nearby. So much exciting stuff close to Hills Pond, simply remarkable.
