Through the summertime months at Highland Lake highs are typically in the 80's while night lows are generally in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally
in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Highland Lake. You'll meet a lot of folks from Torrington here, and why not camp at Laurel Crest Campground since you're here at Highland Lake. Good hiking is available along
the Tunxis Trail. Lakes? Sure, Rugg Brook Reservoir is in close proximity.
Don't leave Highland Lake without first going for a hike along the Mattatuck Trail, and Burr Pond is a glorious lake close by. Days Inn - Torrington is
a magnificent place to get some rest, and Burr Pond State Park is a great place to stretch your legs a bit. Gotta ski! Ski Sundown is a great spot to do that, and you get a great sight of Spencer Hill from here.
