Dossin Park Beach is in the neighborhood of High Hill Pond and is a pretty beach to visit, and the peak of Beseck Mountain can be seen from High Hill Pond. Throughout the warm days of summer at High Hill Pond temperatures are mostly in the 80's; the overnight is a tad cooler of course, typically in the 50's. During the winter the highs are usually in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at High Hill Pond sink into the 10's. North

| | Branch Spoon Shop Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out, and the Mattabesset Trail offers hiking at its best. There's just no way someone can get bored here at High Hill Pond. Skiing at Powder Ridge is one of those things you just must do, and if you get bored of High Hill Pond you could also visit close by Bishops Pond. there are plenty of people from New Haven-Milford, and there's whitewater on Hammonasset River for all you adrenaline people. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Indian Springs Golf Club is a golf course right next
door to High Hill Pond. There's so much to do here at High Hill Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Eagle Feather is a fine place for that. Candlewood Suites HARTFORD/MERIDEN is a good site to get some rest, and
High Hill Pond Dam has glorious water scenery. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Mattabesset Trail is delightful fun, and you can never get enough of the nice skiing at Mount Southington. High Hill Pond is right by the Washington
Trail; if you came to camp Little City Campground is a great site to do that. A tremendous nearby hotel is Four Points By Sheraton Meriden; get your heart pumping on the magnificent whitewater of Roaring Brook River. All the water
falling down from the sky makes High Hill Pond a wet place; May is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. When you're here at High Hill Pond it's always fun to have a look
at Wadsworth Falls State Park; High Hill Pond is not the only site close by, Black Pond is a close by lake.
