If you are traveling by, why not stop by High Hill Pond. Now, you may imagine that's a heap but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at High Hill Pond. An exciting thing to have a look at next to High Hill Pond is High Hill Pond Dam, and nearby you hit upon the Mattabesset Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Mount Southington; Camp Eagle Feather is a great campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Black Pond

If you come at the right time of year, Hammonasset River offers some splendid whitewater, and if you're here, you could also go to beautiful Bishops Pond. paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Roaring Brook River, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Mattabesset Trail. Through the months of summer, highs regularly are in the 80's at High Hill
Pond; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to High Hill Pond. Stay the night at Little City Campground, and a
quick trip to North Branch Spoon Shop Brook is without doubt a magnificent idea. You're sure to run into some friendly people from New Haven-Milford here, and the skiing at Powder Ridge is great. This lake is so wonderful. Hit
the beach if you want, Dossin Park Beach is practically right here; the Washington Trail is a perfect hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Candlewood Suites Hartford/Meriden, Ct is a pleasant spot to get some rest, and
Wadsworth Falls State Park is a splendid place to stop at on a pretty day. High Hill Pond generally gets a good deal of rain; the wettest month of the year is regularly May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February.
