The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Thunder Ridge, and on a magnificent day you can explore Spectacle Swamp, a swamp close to Hendersons Pond. Summertime at Hendersons Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Hendersons Pond. This lake is so       wonderful. Seth Low Pierrepont State Park Reserve is a delightful location any time of year, and glide down the rapids of Norwalk River in a kayak. Kents Pond Dam is worth stopping at while you're here, and camping at Clarence Fahnestock State Park is always a good experience. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Hendersons Pond there are plenty of people from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown; Oak Hills Golf Course is a good golf course close by. Do take                  a look at Grupes Reservoir in the vicinity of Hendersons Pond, it's a scenic lake, and after a long day outdoors Village Inn Of New Canaan (Le) is a delightful place to spend a night or two. All the water falling down from the sky makes Hendersons Pond a wet place; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily May, that's the one that rains the most while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If you love the outdoors, you'll fancy Hendersons Pond. Hendersons Pond is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Kettletown State Park is a nice local campground, and Roger Sherman Inn (Le) is a good site to get some rest.
