Hendersons Pond is a site with many visitors from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown, and delightful skiing awaits you at Thunder Ridge. The high level of rain makes Hendersons Pond a quite wet place; most of the rain falls all through May, and January is the month with the least moisture. There's so much to do here       at Hendersons Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Mountain Workshop is a glorious place for that. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such peaceful locations, why not check out Sheffield Pond right next door to Hendersons Pond, and if you came to camp Kettletown State Park is a good place to do that. Hendersons Pond beyond doubt is in the middle of a wonderful outdoors paradise. After a long day outdoors Roger Sherman Inn (Le) is a delightful place                  to spend a night or two, and there are other spots here than Hendersons Pond, for example Kents Pond. Summertime highs at Hendersons Pond generally tend to be in the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Hendersons Pond. Barretts Brook is a pretty stream that is worth taking a look at, and if you're here you can play some golf at Oak Hills Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Swamps don’t sound that fine but Spectacle Swamp close to Hendersons Pond is quite fine, and naturally, everybody loves Seth Low Pierrepont State Park Reserve.
