If you need a spot to stay The Cottages At Kent Road is a fine choice; East Aspetuck River has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. The sight of Boardman Mountain from Henderson Pond is picturesque. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Henderson Pond has to offer, you can camp at Lake Waramaug State Park.       Summer brings highs in the 80's to Henderson Pond; the night is fairly chillier of course, mostly in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are generally in the 30's; night lows during the winter for Henderson Pond tend to be in the 10's. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things near Henderson Pond. Paddling on Tenmile is so much fun, and Tamarack Swamp is a swamp in close proximity to Henderson Pond. Henderson Pond gets a typical amount                  of yearly rain; June is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is January. On a nice day at Henderson Pond you can take a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and Henderson Pond is a nice location to visit for more than one day, Buck's Rock Camp is a nice location to camp nearby. Not far from Henderson Pond, you'll find Ladner Pond which is a charming lake, and Henderson Pond is not far at all from Torrington. What a site this is for outdoors people. Lakes? Sure, Mud Pond is in the neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. Red Carpet Inn & Suites New Milford is a magnificent place to get some rest, and why not a little side spree to Bullymuck Brook.
