You're in all probability interested in lakes, Echo Lake is one of those nearby, and camping is available at Branchbrook Campground. Here at Heminway Pond there are plenty of folks from Torrington, and Black Rock State Park is a good spot to stretch your legs a bit. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody close by loves skiing at Woodbury,       and Echo Lake Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. So much fun stuff close to Heminway Pond, absolutely striking. Gotta ski! Mount Southington is a pleasant site to do that, and a tremendous site for whitewater paddling is Shepaug River. Heminway Pond gets much water; June is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. All through the warm days of summer at Heminway Pond highs are typically in the 70's with nighttime lows                  in the 50's. Highs during the winter are mostly in the 20's with temperatures at Heminway Pond dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Some of the water nearby flows, like Echo Lake Brook; dry warm beds await you at Hampton Inn Waterbury. Yep, outdoors cool stuff to do are really bountiful here at Heminway Pond. Why not camp at Black Rock State Park since you're here at Heminway Pond. If you need a place to stay Courtyard Waterbury Downtown is a wonderful choice, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Naugatuck Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
