Why not stop by Held Pond if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of people from Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk here, and why not take a little journey to Aspetuck River since you're here. There's so much to do here at Held Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Hither Hills State Park is a magnificent spot for that, and do pop by Beaver Brook Pond, it's a gorgeous lake. If only every location had this much outdoors

Held Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; most of the rain falls all through May, and February is when it's the driest. At National Hall is a great choice. All through the long summer days at Held Pond temperatures are regularly in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the
30's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Held Pond temperatures sink to the 10's. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Lees Pond Dam, and in the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can
always go whitewater paddling on Norwalk River. A great nearby hotel is The Inn at National Hall; you can always enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Alvord Beach. This lake is so wonderful. Going to Sherwood Island State Park in
the neighborhood of Held Pond is a delightful thing to do, and you acquire a tremendous vista of Camfield Hill from here.
