Getting to Aspetuck River from Held Pond is easy; a day at Alvord Beach is time well spent. Through the summertime here at Held Pond, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Held Pond are in the 10's. | | you could also check out striking Princes Pond. There's so much to do here at Held Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Sail Caribbean is a good place for that. You're sure to encounter some cheerful people from Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk here, and Held Pond is right next door to Sherwood Island State Park which is a picturesque location. upon a golf course called Oak Hills Golf Course. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Held Pond has to offer, you can camp at Mountain Workshop. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Norwalk
River offers some fine whitewater, and after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Norwalk is a great place to spend a night or two. Held Pond ordinarily gets a good deal of precipitation; May is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
