    Do stop by Hedden Pond while you're in this part of Connecticut. All the water falling down from the sky makes Hedden Pond a wet place; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Adams Brook flows through this area, and while you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Torrington. This lake is so wonderful. Hedden Pond is right by the Elbow Trail, and The Ballyhack is an attention-grabbing  
   thing to distinguish while you're here.
Lakes? Sure, Nash Pond is nearby; fine water scenery is available at Cream Hill Lake Dam close to Hedden Pond. And if you're still looking for more outdoors fun things just keep reading. Really great skiing awaits you at Mohawk Mountain, and after a long day outdoors Blackberry River Inn is a perfect spot to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Hedden Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Housatonic
 
               Meadows State Park is a splendid spot for that; at Hedden Pond you can spot Bloody Mountain.
This lake is so wonderful. Sharon Motor Lodge is a pleasant site to get some rest; visiting Mohawk Mountain State Park is a good thing to do. Summertime at Hedden Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Hedden Pond. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! Hedden Pond rocks! Not far from Hedden Pond, you'll stumble on Cream Hill Lake which is a charming lake, and Hedden Pond is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Valley In The Pines Campground is a wonderful local campground.
Why not take a refreshing hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and you can run the rapids of Housatonic River. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Ski Butternut, and hiking along the Indian Trail is delightful fun.
