Hit the slopes at Mount Southington in the vicinity, and going for a hike along the Metacomet Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Golden Acres Campground is a good campground nearby, and Grimes Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. on Farmington River - Collinsville. If the weather is lovely, you get a tremendous vista of Bushy Hill from Hazel Meadow Pond; if you're here you can take a hike along the County Road Trail. There's no such thing as a bad day
of skiing at nearby Ski Sundown; if you need a site to stay Simsbury Inn is a wonderful choice. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things at Hazel Meadow Pond. A perfect site next to Hazel Meadow Pond is Horseshoe
Cove; Ensign Bickford Dam is not far at all from Hazel Meadow Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Going to Stratton Brook State Park close to Hazel Meadow Pond is a delightful thing to do, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along
the Tunxis Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Simsbury 1820 House is a splendid site to get some rest; folks from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford love to come here. Hazel Meadow Pond gets a large amount of water; most of the
rain falls through August, and January is when it's the driest. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Hazel Meadow Pond, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Hazel Meadow Pond.
