Really good skiing awaits you at Yawgoo Valley, and Hazard Pond is not the only spot nearby, Bailey Pond is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites PLAINFIELD, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Quinebaug River. You can see       Escoheag Hill from Hazard Pond, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Narragansett Trail. Throughout the warm months at Hazard Pond temperatures are typically in the 80's, and the overnight is rather cooler of course, generally in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are commonly in the 30's; nighttime lows all through the winter for Hazard Pond tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Hazard Pond is a site with many visitors from Willimantic,                  and Hazard Pond is right by the Narragansett Trail. A lake nearby is Hazard Pond; hiking along the Border Trail is delightful fun. A nice place like Hopeville Pond State Park near Hazard Pond is too great to leave out; why not camp at Circle C Campground if you're here at Hazard Pond. A great deal of rain falls at Hazard Pond; November is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is February. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Hazard Pond. Pine Valley RV Campground is a great local campground, and Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is a tremendous local destination. Be careful coming to Hazard Pond, you might not ever wanna return back home again.
