There's a delightful forest near Hartford Reservoir Number 2 called Mooneys Woods, of course you could also stop by Woodridge Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. A large amount of precipitation falls at Hartford Reservoir Number 2; the month with most of the rain is May; the driest month is February. If you need a location  
   to stay Avon Old Farms is a perfect choice, and hey, Gotta ski right? Mount Southington is a great location to do that.
Hart Meadow is a swamp near Hartford Reservoir Number 2; you can make out Burnt Hill from Hartford Reservoir Number 2. This lake is so wonderful. Hartford Reservoir Number 2 is not the only site nearby, Hartford Reservoir Number 1 is a nearby lake; do stop by Talcott Dam since you're here. This lake is so wonderful.

For the duration of the wintertime highs are typically in the 30's while Hartford Reservoir Number 2 overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. Here at Hartford Reservoir Number 2 there are plenty of people from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford; don't leave without visiting Talcott Mountain State Park. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Homewood Suites Farmington is a tremendous site to spend a night or two, and if you came to camp Camp Eagle Feather is a good spot to do that.
Why not take a refreshing hike along the Tunxis Trail, and camping at Golden Acres Campground is always a nice experience. What would winter be without some skiing at Powder Ridge, and in the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Farmington River - Collinsville. You just have to adore Hartford Reservoir Number 2. The Mattabesset Trail offers hiking at its best, and Farmington River has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot close by.
Hiking is a popular thing to do around Hartford Reservoir Number 2; Metacomet Trail is a delightful local trail, and golf can be played at Buena Vista Golf Course.
