If you like skiing, you're in luck; Powder Ridge is near Hart Ponds, and you'll discover a pretty lake called Upper Hart Pond. But wait, there's more to do near Hart Ponds. The Mattabesset Trail offers hiking at its best; Hart Ponds is in the neighborhood of Wadsworth Falls State Park which is a striking place. This lake is so wonderful. | | and since you're here, you could also check out lovely Lower Hart Pond. This lake is so wonderful. One of the major marks of the surroundings of Hart Ponds is Ragged Mountain, and if you need a location to stay Fairfield Inn & Suites Plainville is a nice choice. visit Dossin Park Beach in the vicinity of Hart Ponds; there are some fine whitewater spots on Farmington River - Collinsville. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Roaring Brook River,
and if you came to camp Little City Campground is a great spot to do that. Hart Ponds sees pretty high levels of rain; through May this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Swamps are out of the ordinary
locations and Panther Swamp in the vicinity of Hart Ponds is no exception, and a glorious close by hotel is La Quinta Inn and Suites New Britain/Hartford South. This lake is so wonderful. You can take a little spree to Upper Hart
Pond Dam if you're here at Hart Ponds. There's so much to do here at Hart Ponds that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Eagle Feather is a nice place for that. Through the summer highs here at Hart Ponds get into the 80's while
nighttime lows are typically in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Hart Ponds during the winter ordinarily drop into the 10's. Hart Ponds is right by the Metacomet Trail, and if you're a golfer then a great nearby course is Hawk's Landing Country Club.
