Hart Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Any time is a great time at Hart Pond if you go for the outdoors. Clark Pond is a brilliant lake next to Hart Pond, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Bantam River. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Mattatuck Trail; skiing at Mohawk Mountain is one of those things you just have to do. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the great skiing at Woodbury, and

| | Jennings Hill is easy to spot from Hart Pond. Camping at Housatonic Meadows State Park is always a brilliant experience; this is a popular site for people from Torrington. This spot rules, just look at all the cool things to do next to Hart Pond. Litchfield Town Beach is in close proximity to Hart Pond and is a pretty beach to check out, and a round of golf at nearby Stonybrook Golf Course is a brilliant way to kill some time. This lake is so wonderful. | |

A gorgeous lake like Hawkins Pond in the neighborhood of Hart Pond is a pleasant location to stop at, and tremendous hiking is available along the Elbow Trail. A trip to Morris Town Beach next to Hart Pond is always a splendid
idea; after a long day outdoors Blackberry River Inn is a great site to spend a night or two. Don't leave Hart Pond without first going for a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and if you come at the right time of year,
Shepaug River offers some glorious whitewater. During the days of summer here at Hart Pond, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's,
and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Hart Pond plunge into the 10's. A glorious forest close to Hart Pond is Mohawk State Forest, and there are swamps here too, Blue Swamp is around here. Marshepaug River
is a wonderful stream that is worth visiting; a wonderful close by hotel is Tollgate Hill Inn. The high level of rainfall makes Hart Pond a reasonably wet place; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February
meanwhile is the driest month. If you came to camp Valley In The Pines Campground is a nice site to do that, and when you're here it's always fun to explore Mohawk Mountain State Park.
