Hart Pond is a lake worth visiting. Hart Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Go for a hike on the Mattatuck Trail; Mayflower Inn is a good spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. | | in luck, Blue Swamp is right nearby; everyone close by loves skiing at Mohawk Mountain. Stonybrook Golf Course is a great golf course nearby. There's so much to do here at Hart Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Mohawk Campground is a magnificent place for that. The peak of Jennings Hill can be seen from Hart Pond, and do check out Clark Pond, it's a charming lake. So many cool things to do here at Hart Pond, too splendid to be true. are so inviting noone can resist. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Hart Pond has to offer, you can camp at Valley In The Pines Campground. Marshepaug River is a perfect location to check out, and nothing beats kicking
back at Litchfield Town Beach. During the warmest time of the year here at Hart Pond, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's; the night is a bit colder of course, usually in the 50's. Highs all through the winter are generally
in the 30's with temperatures at Hart Pond dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. If you're popping by Hart Pond from Torrington, you won't be the only one. A good close by hotel is Boulders
Inn Lake Waramaug, and whitewater paddling is fine on Shepaug River. Morris Town Beach is a beach right next door to Hart Pond that you can pop by, and in case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on
Bantam River. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll love Hart Pond. Mohawk Mountain State Park is a delightful location to go if you're at Hart Pond, and there's glorious hiking along the Elbow Trail.
