Jennings Hill is a peak you can make out from Hart Pond, and unsurprisingly Marshepaug River flows through this vicinity. All the water falling down from the sky makes Hart Pond a wet spot; during the month of August you get the most rain around here; February is when it's the driest. After a long day outdoors Tollgate Hill Inn is a pleasant location to spend a night or two, and you without doubt ought to check out Mohawk Mountain State Park if you're here.

that you can go to. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Hart Pond has to offer, you can camp at Housatonic Meadows State Park. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Bantam River, and time spent at Morris Town Beach is
always nice. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Mohawk Mountain; delightful hiking is available along the Mattatuck Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such peaceful places,
why not visit Hawkins Pond close to Hart Pond, and if you come at the right time of year, Shepaug River offers some delightful whitewater. Here at Hart Pond there are plenty of folks from Torrington; you can stay the night at Valley In The Pines Campground.
