Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Wassel Reservoir, and if you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Express SOUTHINGTON is a splendid choice. Going for a hike on the Mattabesset Trail is always a splendid adventure, and Mount Southington has nice slopes and a friendly staff. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Hart Pond. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are

| | in the 30's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Hart Pond sink into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. There are great spots to discover along the Tunxis Trail, and there's always Wasel Reservoir Dam to stop at in the neighborhood of Hart Pond. The high level of rain makes Hart Pond a pretty wet location; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. of Hart Pond is time well spent, and you'll probably meet some people from New Haven-Milford here. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Hart Pond without first going for a hike along the Metacomet Trail; Camp Eagle Feather is a
great campground nearby. A quick tour to John Hall Brook close to Hart Pond is a splendid idea, and not far from Hart Pond you'll stumble on Wasel Reservoir which is a picturesque lake. At Hart Pond you can see Ragged Mountain,
and Wharton Brook State Park is a perfect site to have a look at on a lovely day. Powder Ridge is a very popular ski area nearby, and Hart Pond is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Gentile's Camp Ground is a good spot to
camp nearby. So many cool things to do here at Hart Pond, too perfect to be true. Dry warm beds await you at Fairfield Inn & Suites Plainville, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Hawk's Landing Country
Club is in close proximity. This lake is so wonderful. Get covered with water paddling on Farmington River. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll like Hart Pond. There are swamps here too; Hog Swamp is nearby, and paddling on Farmington River - Collinsville is so much fun.
