     A wonderful close by hotel is Rodeway Inn Willington; you'll meet a lot of people from Willimantic here. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool stuff the area near Happy Acres Pond has to offer. Take some time to stop at Natchaug State Forest while you're here; a trip here wouldn’t be complete without a trip to nearby Mansfield Hollow State Park. Don't forget to take a fine little trip to Lipps Brook, and on a gorgeous day you acquire a great view  
   of Knowlton Hill from Happy Acres Pond. If you need a location to stay Nathan Hale Inn And Conference Center is a splendid choice.
For the duration of the warmest time of the year here at Happy Acres Pond, high temperatures generally reach the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Happy Acres Pond temperatures sink to the 10's. If you come at the
 
               right time of year, Natchaug River offers some good whitewater, and if you came to camp Brialee Campground is a good location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Happy Acres Pond ordinarily gets a great deal of precipitation; November is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Fox Swamp is right nearby; Happy Acres Pond is not the only location close by, Upton Pond is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Happy Acres Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Moosemeadow Camping Resort is a good place for that; there's some attention-grabbing stuff to spot at Happy Acres Dam in the neighborhood of Happy Acres Pond.
