    Go to Hanks Hill Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to come across some friendly folks from Willimantic here, and Hanks Hill Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Brialee Campground is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious close by hotel is Nathan Hale Inn And Conference Center, and a great swamp close to Hanks Hill Pond is Cedar Swamp.
During the months of summer here at Hanks Hill
 
   Pond, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Highs all through the wintertime are commonly in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Hanks Hill Pond. All the water falling down from the sky makes Hanks Hill Pond a wet site; May is the month that gets the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Best Western Regent Inn is a great place to get some rest. There's so much to do here  
               at Hanks Hill Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Moosemeadow Camping Resort is a glorious location for that.
A magnificent spot for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Hanks Hill Pond is Salmon River, unsurprisingly you could also explore Mansfield Recreation Pond while you're here; it's not far at all. Mansfield Recreation Pond Dam is lovely and it's in the vicinity of Hanks Hill Pond; why not take a look at close by Fishers Brook since you're here at Hanks Hill Pond. All the outdoors exciting stuff next to Hanks Hill Pond will keep you coming back over and over. Get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Natchaug River, and a tour to Mansfield Hollow State Park when you're here is never a bad idea.
