In Connecticut there are many beautiful lakes, Hammonasset Reservoir is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. Hammonasset Reservoir is a pretty wet place ordinarily with a great deal of rainfall; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February. Nothing beats kicking back at Circle Beach, and if you need a location to stay Madison Beach Hotel is a pleasant choice. A good nearby hotel is Tower Inn and Suites, and Hammonasset

| | Beach State Park is a good campground nearby. Man, is there lots of enjoyable things to do next to Hammonasset Reservoir. There are other locations here than Hammonasset Reservoir, for example Lake Hammonasset, and playing golf is lots of fun at Guilford Lakes Golf Course. During the summer months, highs commonly are in the 80's at Hammonasset Reservoir. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's; | |

Hammonasset Reservoir Dam is worth checking out while you're here. While you're here at Hammonasset Reservoir you will meet lots of people from nearby Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford, and the best way to spend a winter day is
on the slopes of close by Powder Ridge. Take a hike on the Washington Trail, and Hammonasset River has a good whitewater paddling spot close by. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. The summit of Chestnut Hill can
be observed from Hammonasset Reservoir, and whitewater paddling is pleasant on Roaring Brook River. Take a side visit to Chatfield Hollow Brook, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not stop at Laurelwood Pond. Have a nice hiking
adventure along the West Woods Trail; you can always enjoy a lazy day on the beach at East Rive Beach. This lake is so wonderful. Hammonasset Reservoir is right by the Mattabesset Trail; Hammonasset Reservoir is near Chatfield Hollow State Park which is a beautiful place.
