If you are in Litchfield county it's always a good idea to stop by Hamlin Pond. Camping is available at Housatonic Meadows State Park, and not far from Hamlin Pond you'll stumble on Bog Meadow Pond which is a gorgeous lake. Hamlin Pond gets a typical amount of annual rainfall; during May this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Now, you may think that's a heap but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Hamlin Pond.

| | Hit the slopes at Ski Butternut around here, and the Indian Trail offers hiking at its best. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a wonderful time here at Hamlin Pond. Do stop at Miles Pond Dam while you're here at Hamlin Pond, and the peak of Mount Easter can be seen from Hamlin Pond. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Housatonic River, and dry warm beds await | |

Mudge Pond Town Beach is practically right here, and after a long day outdoors Sharon Motor Lodge is a wonderful place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Taconic State Park Rudd Pond
is a brilliant place to camp, and you absolutely have to stop by Housatonic Meadows State Park since you're here. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Mohawk Mountain; magnificent hiking is available along the Appalachian
National Scenic Trail. At Hamlin Pond during the summertime highs are in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's, and nighttime
lows all through the wintertime for Hamlin Pond tend to be in the 10's. Swamps like Pine Swamp are fun to pop by, and Hamlin Pond is not far at all from Torrington.
