There's so much to do here at Hales Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Markham Meadows Campgrounds is a great place for that; Inn At Middletown is a good site to get some rest. You're almost certainly hooked on lakes, Keighley Pond is one of those close by, and after a long day outdoors Passport Inn and Suites Middletown is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Green River is a stream that you may come across during your stay,

| | and you can go for a hike on the Washington Trail. Hales Pond is a wet location that gets lots of rainfall; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Powder Ridge is good; for you golfers we recommend nearby Quarry Ridge Golf Course. You just must go for Hales Pond. Lakes are nice; Hulseman Pond is a lake that's close to Hales Pond, and going for a hike on the Mattabesset | |

Trail is always a splendid adventure. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Salmon River; the top of Barton Hill is easily seen from Hales Pond. During your tour to Hales Pond you'll meet
some people from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford for sure. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Hales Pond has to offer, you can camp at Nelson's Family Campground. Summertime highs at Hales Pond typically tend to
be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Hales Pond. Yep, outdoors entertaining things to do are beyond doubt bountiful
here at Hales Pond. There are some perfect whitewater spots on Roaring Brook River, and Hales Pond is close to Hurd State Park which is a delightful location.
