Oakwood at Merritt River is a great site to get some rest, and Norwalk River       has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. During the days of summer at Guthrie Pond highs are regularly in the 80's. Summer night lows drop down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Guthrie Pond dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. Spend the day on the beach at Rowayton Community Beach if you're here at Guthrie Pond, and a good close by hotel is Four Points By Sheraton Norwalk. Blanchard Pond is a nearby                  lake that you could visit, and playing golf is lots of fun at Oak Hills Golf Course. While you're here at Guthrie Pond you will meet lots of people from nearby Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk, and Belden Hill is a peak you can observe from Guthrie Pond. The high level of rain makes Guthrie Pond a rather wet location; August is the month that gets the most rain while February is typically the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Time spent at Harbor View Beach in the neighborhood of Guthrie Pond is always great, and a quick spree to Belden Hill Brook is absolutely a tremendous idea. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! Guthrie Pond is excellent!
