Man, is there plenty of exciting stuff to do close to Gulf Pond. A round of golf at nearby Orchards Golf Course is a splendid way to kill some time, and during your stay here do have a look at close by Gulf Beach. Lakes? Sure, Upper Lagoon       is nearby, also Long Jetty is worth going to if you're here. Lots of folks from New Haven-Milford come to Gulf Pond, and hiking along the Quinnipiac Trail is pleasant fun. Gulf Pond is right by the Regicides Trail. Lower Lagoon is a good lake near Gulf Pond, and swamps can be such exciting places, take a look at Calf Pen Meadow while you're here at Gulf Pond. Why not pop by nearby Calf Pen Meadow Creek while you're here at Gulf Pond; Bryan Hill is clearly                  visible from Gulf Pond. During the long summer days, highs usually are in the 80's at Gulf Pond, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Gulf Pond are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. A good location like Osbornedale State Park in the vicinity of Gulf Pond is too glorious to leave out; you can stay the night at National Computer Camps. If only every location had this much outdoors amusing things, what a great earth it would be. Howard Johnson Hotel - Milford/New Haven is a great location to get some rest, and do take a hike on the Naugatuck Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A day at Gulf Beach near Gulf Pond is time well spent, and do schedule some time to have a look at The Bar if you have a chance.
