A glorious location to camp here at Guilford Lake is Hammonasset Beach State Park, and you're probably addicted to lakes, Valley Shores Pond North is one of those close by. Why not go to Guilford Lakes Lower Dam since you're here; you'll most likely meet some folks from New Haven-Milford here. Really brilliant skiing awaits you at Powder Ridge, and on a wonderful day you get a brilliant vista of Hungry Hill from Guilford Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If

| | you're looking for a beach in the neighborhood of Guilford Lake, we recommend Circle Beach; why not a little side tour to Dowd Hollow Brook. Mount Southington has perfect slopes and a friendly staff; great hiking is available along the Washington Trail. If you need a location to stay Tower Inn and Suites is a delightful choice, and naturally, this is a splendid neighborhood for people who like lakes, Valley Shores Pond South is a lake in the vicinity. | |

I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a nice time here at Guilford Lake. Why not camp at Riverdale Camp Sites while you're here at Guilford Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Mattabesset Trail. High temperatures at Guilford Lake
through the days of summer are in the 80's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 60's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 30's; nighttime lows at Guilford Lake all through the wintertime typically plunge
into the 10's. If you come at the right time of year, Hammonasset River offers some splendid whitewater, and enjoy a round of golf at Guilford Lakes Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but
if it's for you then we recommend Roaring Brook River, and Comfort Inn Guilford is a perfect site to get some rest. Guilford Lake is a wet location that gets a large amount of precipitation; the month of April is the wettest with
most of the rain; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Chatfield Hollow State Park is a great location to go if you're at Guilford Lake, and why not explore a swamp like Ivy Swamp while you're here at Guilford
Lake. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things at Guilford Lake. Going for a hike on the West Woods Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and nothing beats kicking back at Jacobs Public Beach.
