Connecticut has many beautiful lakes and Guilford Lake is one of them. Guilford Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; through the month of April you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. Very charming scenery and nice skiing is what you get at Mount Southington, and since you're here, you could also pop by scenic Valley Shores Pond South. If only every location had this much outdoors fun things, what a great globe

| | it would be. Ivy Swamp is a swamp close to Guilford Lake, and beaches are great and Jacobs Public Beach is no exception. If you came for an overnight stay Hammonasset Beach State Park is a brilliant spot to camp, and hey, Gotta ski right? Powder Ridge is a tremendous location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. At Guilford Lake you can make out Hungry Hill, and going for a hike on the Mattabesset Trail is always a tremendous adventure. This lake is so | |

wonderful. You can run the rapids of Roaring Brook River near Guilford Lake; you'll meet a lot of people from New Haven-Milford here. This lake is so wonderful. A good nearby hotel is Tower Inn and Suites, and why not take a look
at Guilford Lakes Lower Dam since you're here. Near Guilford Lake you hit upon the West Woods Trail which is a nice hiking trail, and getting to Dowd Hollow Brook from Guilford Lake is uncomplicated. One of the best things about Guilford
Lake is its proximity to Circle Beach, and do stop by Valley Shores Pond North, it's a pretty lake. Riverdale Camp Sites is a good local campground, and there's whitewater on Hammonasset River for all you adrenaline junkies. And
if that's not enough, there's loads more to do close to Guilford Lake. There are wonderful sites to look at along the Washington Trail; a tour here wouldn’t be complete without a spree to nearby Chatfield Hollow State Park. At
Guilford Lake through the summer months highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's while Guilford Lake nighttime low temperatures through
the wintertime are in the 10's. Comfort Inn Guilford is a brilliant place to get some rest, and in the vicinity of Guilford Lake you hit upon a golf course called Guilford Lakes Golf Course.
