Summertime highs at Grupes Reservoir ordinarily tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Grupes Reservoir plunge into the 10's. There's so much to do here at Grupes Reservoir that you need to camp       here for a while, Mountain Workshop is a brilliant site for that, and a golf course close by is Oak Hills Golf Course. If you get bored of Grupes Reservoir, you could also pop by nearby John D Milne Lake, and the vista of beautiful Bald Hill is great. Skiing at Thunder Ridge is one of those things you just have to do. Some of the water close by flows, like East Branch Silvermine River, and a good nearby hotel is Hilton Garden Inn Norwalk. This lake is so                  wonderful. If you came to camp Kettletown State Park is a tremendous place to do that, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown here. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Grupes Reservoir. Grupes Reservoir is not the only spot nearby, Browns Reservoir is a nearby lake, and Seth Low Pierrepont State Park Reserve is a magnificent site. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the beach if you want, Marvin Beach is practically right here, and paddling on Norwalk River is so much fun.
