Seaport Campground is a great campground nearby, and as expected, everybody loves Bluff Point Coastal Reserve State Park. Swamps like Birch Plain Creek Tidal Marsh near Groton Reservoir make for great sites to explore, and you can stay the night at Laurel-lock Campgrounds. This lake is so wonderful. Nothing beats kicking back at Bluff Point Beach; golf can be played at Birch Plain       Golf Course & Driving Range. If you need a spot to stay Howard Johnson Express Inn -Groton is a good choice. Throughout the summer months at Groton Reservoir temperatures are generally in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Groton Reservoir dip into the 10's. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things                  at Groton Reservoir. While you're here at Groton Reservoir you can take a hike along the Narragansett Trail, and if you're into cool geologic marks try Pohegnut Ledge. This lake is so wonderful.
