Deep River Cove is nearby and always glorious to explore, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Old Saybrook is a delightful spot to spend a night or two. Waterhouse Pond Dam is a site that is close to Griswold Pond, and if you're a golfer then a great nearby course is Hillside Links Golf Course. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll love Griswold Pond. Interesting geology is available here; Pine Ledge is in the neighborhood of Griswold Pond, and going

| | for a hike on the Mattabesset Trail is always a great adventure. Griswold Pond ordinarily gets lots of precipitation; during the month of May you get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Wolf's Den Family Campground is a pleasant campground nearby; there are glorious places to explore along the Washington Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Pond, and Waters Edge Resort and Spa is a great site to get some rest. Chester Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth going to; there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Hammonasset River. Gillette Castle State
Park is both wonderful and wonderful, and it's right next door to Griswold Pond. Lakes are tremendous; Jennings Pond is a lake that's in close proximity to Griswold Pond. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit
close by Upper Pond, and the snow is great at Powder Ridge. For the period of the summertime months, highs usually are in the 80's at Griswold Pond, and the night is somewhat chillier of course, frequently in the 60's. Highs through
the winter are regularly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Griswold Pond are in the 10's. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Stay the night at Devil's Hopyard State Park, and if you come at the right time of year, Salmon River offers some nice whitewater.
