Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Quaboag River; not far from Griggs Pond you get some perfect water scenery at Griggs Pond Dam. So many cool things to do here at Griggs Pond, too perfect to be true. Camping is available at Manna Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Travelodge Sturbridge; glorious skiing awaits you at Pine Ridge. Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is a brilliant place close to Griggs Pond; not far from Griggs Pond you'll locate Corbin Wildlife Marsh which is a pretty lake. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Griggs Pond there are plenty of folks from Willimantic, and if you need a spot to stay Sturbridge Days Inn is a great choice.
