If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bantam River, and going for a hike on the Regicides Trail is always a great adventure. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Woodbury are so inviting noone can resist, and if you need a location to stay Hilton Garden Inn Shelton is a great choice. There's some flowing water close by, Fivemile Brook is a stream you can go to while you're here, and Golf Club at Oxford is a splendid golf

| | course close by. This lake is so wonderful. The great folks of New Haven-Milford like to hang out close by, and there are great locations to look at along the Mattatuck Trail. Through the warm months at Great Hill Reservoir temperatures are regularly in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are typically in the 30's, and nighttime lows through the wintertime for Great Hill Reservoir | |

is February. A visit to Indian Well State Park when you're here at Great Hill Reservoir is never a bad idea. Lakes are fine; Nichols Pond is a lake that's right next door to Great Hill Reservoir.
