In Connecticut there are many beautiful lakes, Great Falls Reservoir is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. Canaan Country Club is a great golf course nearby, and if the weather is gorgeous, you get a fine sight of Battle Hill from Great Falls Reservoir. Great Falls Reservoir is close to Housatonic Meadows State Park which is a lovely place, and why not camp at Housatonic Meadows State Park if you're here at Great Falls Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the
Elbow Trail; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Ski Butternut is quite near. Now, you may feel that's lots but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Great Falls Reservoir. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself
at Great Falls, of course you could also go to Twin Lakes while you're here; it's not far at all. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Hiking along the Indian Trail is splendid fun; do take a look at Great Falls Dam since
you're here. If you're here, you might as well go to Wildcat Hollow, and going for a hike along the Northrop Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. During your stay at Great Falls Reservoir do go to close
by Mudge Pond Town Beach, and getting to Hollenbeck River from Great Falls Reservoir is painless. Glide down the rapids of Housatonic River in a kayak, and a day on the slopes of Mohawk Mountain is just what you need. If you came
for an overnight stay Lone Oak Camp Sites is a splendid place to camp; after a long day outdoors Sharon Motor Lodge is a delightful location to spend a night or two. You're sure to stumble upon some smiling people from Torrington here.
