There are other places here than Gravel Pond, for example Transylvania Pond, and one of the principal characteristics of the surroundings of Gravel Pond is Bates Rocks. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool stuff the area right next door to Gravel Pond has to offer. Gravel Pond is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Looking Glass Hill Campgrounds is a glorious local campground; Mohawk Mountain has pleasant slopes and a friendly staff.

| | Really splendid skiing awaits you at Woodbury, and don't leave Gravel Pond without first going for a hike along the Mattatuck Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Gravel Pond a wet location; August is the wettest month with most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. you're here, and as expected Spruce Brook is a charming stream that is worth a visit. Go for a hike on the Naugatuck Trail. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bantam River; dry warm beds
await you at Crowne Plaza Hotel SOUTHBURY. This lake is so wonderful. A journey to Kettletown State Park invigorates the spirit, and camping at Cozy Hills Campground is always a great experience. Gravel Pond truly is in the middle
of a striking outdoors paradise. A good place for whitewater paddling close to Gravel Pond is Shepaug River; Gravel Pond is not far at all from Torrington. Radey Pond is a glorious lake next to Gravel Pond, and Pomperaug Golf Club is a golf course nearby.
