There's so much to do here at Goose Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Cozy Hills Campground is a glorious spot for that. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff at Goose Pond. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Bantam River, and stop at nearby Blue Swamp. If you came to camp Looking Glass Hill Campgrounds is a perfect place to do that, and going for       a hike on the Mattatuck Trail is always a brilliant adventure. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Goose Pond. People from Torrington love to come to Goose Pond; let's not forget East Branch Shepaug River which is a stream that you may run into while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Woodbury is right next door to Goose Pond, and there are nice places to discover along the Appalachian National                  Scenic Trail. Goose Pond mostly gets a large amount of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is commonly August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. Through the summer at Goose Pond temperatures are typically in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. Through the winter the highs are usually in the 30's; overnight lows in the 10's for Goose Pond. On a beautiful day you can visit Litchfield Town Beach near Goose Pond; not far from Goose Pond you acquire some good water scenery at Goose Pond Dam. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Shepaug Reservoir, and if you're here and you like golf, you can go to Stonybrook Golf Course. Lakes are great; Upper Shepaug Reservoir is a lake that's near Goose Pond. This lake is so wonderful.
