If you want a fine time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Goodwins Pond. Nearby lakes? Sure, Bride Lake is right next door to Goodwins Pond. During the summertime months at Goodwins Pond highs are mostly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The wintertime       brings highs down to the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Goodwins Pond sink into the 10's. Beaver Dam Brook flows through this vicinity, and you need to explore Smith Ledges while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Goodwins Pond you stumble on Rocky Hill Neck, and you're probably interested in lakes, Havens Pond is one of those close by. A golf course next to Goodwins Pond is Cedar Ridge Golf Course; if                  you need a place to stay Americas Best Value Inn/Niantic is a splendid choice. Goodwins Pond is a great site to visit for more than one day, Rocky Neck State Park is a great site to camp nearby; a spree to Rocky Neck State Park is a wonderful idea. At Plants Dam near Goodwins Pond there are some exciting things to see; you can spend the day on the beach at Rocky Neck State Park Bathing Beach. Goodwins Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; November is the month that gets the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
