from Torrington here; after a long day outdoors Days Inn - Torrington is a magnificent site to spend a night or two. A golf course near Goodwin Pond is Fairview Farm Golf Course, and here at Goodwin Pond you can distinguish Red Mountain.
At Goodwin Pond through the summertime months highs are in the 70's while night lows are regularly in the 50's. All through the winter highs are mostly in the 20's; overnight lows at Goodwin Pond all through the wintertime mostly
fall into the 10's. You could also explore Burr Pond if you're here at Goodwin Pond; it's close by, and you can go for a hike on the Tunxis Trail. Why not pop by East Branch Dam while you're here, and close by you find the Mattatuck
Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Goodwin Pond is not the only location close by, Besse Park Pond is a close by lake, and you can run the rapids of Still River. Goodwin Pond gets lots of water; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain while February is commonly the driest month.
