Nearby lakes? Sure, Lake Dawson is close to Glen Lake; what would winter be without some skiing at Mount Southington. Econo Lodge Conference Center is a magnificent place to get some rest, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Glen Lake; Regicides Trail is a good local trail. This lake is so wonderful. One of the governing       features of the surroundings of Glen Lake is Carrington Hill; dry warm beds await you at Courtyard New Haven at Yale. Through the months of summer at Glen Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's while Glen Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Glen Lake. Very beautiful scenery and good skiing                  is what you get at Woodbury. Glen Lake is a wet place that gets a large amount of rain; May is the wettest month with most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. A round of golf at nearby Laurel View Country Club Golf is a pleasant way to kill some time, and you're sure to stumble upon some cheerful people from New Haven-Milford here. This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water close by flows, like Sargent River; Glen Lake Dam is a beautiful place, definitely worth taking a look at. West Rock Ridge State Park is a great spot to stretch your legs a bit, and needless to say, this is a good region for folks who like lakes, Lake Watrous is a lake in close proximity. This is no spot for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves.
