If you like lakes and you're in this part of Connecticut you can check out Gills Pond. Powder Ridge is a magnificent local ski area, also Silver Lake Dam is worth going to since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Spend the day on the beach at Dossin Park Beach if you're here at Gills Pond, and the slopes of Mount Southington are so inviting noone can resist.

Going for a hike on the Mattabesset Trail is always a perfect adventure, and after a long day outdoors Days Inn Berlin CT is a glorious place to spend a night or two. Summertime highs at Gills Pond ordinarily tend to be in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, | |

This lake is so wonderful. Visit Belcher Brook while you're here at Gills Pond, and don't leave Gills Pond without first going for a hike along the Metacomet Trail. Lakes are such
serene locations, why not stop at Hart Ponds close to Gills Pond, and camping at Little City Campground is always a fine experience. This lake is so wonderful. There are other locations here than Gills Pond, for example Silver Lake;
there are wonderful locations to look at along the Washington Trail.
Gills Pond mostly gets lots of precipitation; most of the rain falls through May; February is the month with the least moisture. This place is excellent, just
check out all the amusing things to do near Gills Pond. You get a magnificent panorama of Lamentation Mountain from Gills Pond, and in the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Roaring
Brook River. Gills Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Eagle Feather is a good local campground, and Best Western New England Inn & Suites is a magnificent spot to get some rest.
Pistol Creek Golf Club is a brilliant golf course nearby, and there are plenty of people from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford here.
