This lake is so wonderful. Lake George is near Bluff Point Coastal Reserve State Park which is a gorgeous place; one of the best things about this location is its proximity to Eastern Point Beach. Go for a hike on the Narragansett Trail, and Quality Inn Groton is a magnificent location to get some rest. Interesting geology is available here; The Kissing Rocks is in the vicinity of Lake       George, and if you're visiting from Norwich-New London, you won't be the only one. If you get bored of Lake George, you could also check out close by Crystal Lake, and after a long day outdoors Knights Inn Groton CT is a glorious place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at Shennecossett Municipal Golf Course is always a bliss; why not have a look at close by Beaverdam Brook while you're here at Lake George.
