There's some flowing water close by, Crowley Brook is a stream you can have a look at while you're here; Gates Pond is a site with many visitors from Norwich-New London. A spree to Stoddard Hill State Park when you're here at Gates Pond is a great idea, and camping is available at Hidden Acres Family Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Norwich Inn & Spa is a good location to get some rest, and Rosemond Lake is a perfect lake       close by. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. If you came for an overnight stay Strawberry Park Resort Campground is a tremendous site to camp, and Hallville Pond Dam has perfect water scenery. There's great hiking along the Narragansett Trail, and Cedar Swamp is a swamp close to Gates Pond. Don't leave Gates Pond without first checking out Spicer Ledge, and here at Gates Pond you can see Campbell Hill. For you golfers we recommend nearby                  River Ridge Golf Course. Lakes? Sure, Ayer Pond is close at hand. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff close to Gates Pond. You can run the rapids of Natchaug River right next door to Gates Pond, and Quinebaug River is a great whitewater spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Mohegan Sun, and a wooded neighborhood close by is Hubbardston State Forest. Gates Pond gets a lot of water; throughout the month of November you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with the least moisture. Throughout the days of summer highs here at Gates Pond reach the 80's with night lows in the 50's.
