Now, you may believe that's lots but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Gates Pond. Get dripping wet paddling on Natchaug River, and nearby you'll hit upon a wooded region called Hubbardston State Forest. This lake is so wonderful. For you golfers we recommend nearby River Ridge Golf Course, and do have a look at Hallville Pond Dam since       you're here. Gates Pond is a quite wet place usually with a good deal of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is November; February is when it's the driest. Lakes? Sure, Hallville Pond is in the vicinity, and swamps don’t sound that perfect but Cedar Swamp next to Gates Pond is relatively perfect. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a wonderful time here at Gates Pond. Mohegan Sun is a pleasant location to get some rest, and you can stay the                  night at Strawberry Park Resort Campground. Here at Gates Pond you'll possibly meet some folks from Norwich-New London; there are other places here than Gates Pond, for example Bates Pond. A perfect nearby hotel is The Spa at Norwich Inn, and Gates Pond is a brilliant place to visit for more than one day, Hidden Acres Family Campground is a brilliant place to camp nearby. The Narragansett Trail is a magnificent hiking trail close to Gates Pond, and you obtain a splendid panorama of Campbell Hill from here. During the warmest time of the year, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Gates Pond. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's.
