This lake is so wonderful. Graniss Pond Dam is worth a visit since you're here, and a round of golf at nearby Twin Lakes Golf Course is a nice way to kill some time. All the water falling down from the sky makes Foxon Pond a wet place; during May this area sees the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. Days Inn -New       Haven is a nice site to get some rest, and if you get bored of Foxon Pond you could also stop by close by Lidyhites Pond. Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Foxon Pond. If the weather is delightful here at Foxon Pond, you can go for a hike along the West Woods Trail; a trip here wouldn’t be complete without a trip to close by Wharton Brook State Park. Mount Southington is a very popular ski area close by,                  and a great beach nearby is Front Beach. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Foxon Pond. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Foxon Pond drop into the 10's. Hit the slopes at Powder Ridge around here; the Regicides Trail is a tremendous hiking trail nearby. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Rose Swamp is an exciting swamp in the vicinity of Foxon Pond, and one of the dominant highlights of the surroundings of Foxon Pond is Lidyhites Hill. A lake nearby is Hartens Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express BRANFORD-NEW HAVEN. This lake is so wonderful. A fine place for whitewater paddling right next door to Foxon Pond is Hammonasset River. Burrs Brook is a great spot to explore, and you can stay the night at Hammonasset Beach State Park. This lake is so wonderful.
