Fountain Lake Reservoir is not far at all from New Haven-Milford; if you're here you can play some golf at Woodhaven Country Club. Be careful coming to Fountain Lake Reservoir, you       might not ever want to go back home again. Near Fountain Lake Reservoir you find good sites like Wildcat Gorge; splendid skiing awaits you at Mount Southington. Some close by water includes Beaver Brook. Fountain Lake Reservoir is a relatively wet place generally with a large amount of rainfall; most of the rain falls during May, and February is the month with the least moisture. Summertime at Fountain Lake Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and the night is slightly cooler of course, usually in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's; through the dark hours in the winter at Fountain Lake Reservoir temperatures dip to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Branchbrook Campground is a nice location to do that; why not take a refreshing hike along the Naugatuck Trail.
