If you want to hit the beach, Mudge Pond Town Beach is in the neighborhood; the panorama of Deming Hill is delightful. Why not go to close by Bog Meadow Brook if you're here at Ford Pond; you'll meet a lot of folks from Torrington here. Take a hike on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and lakes are such       peaceful spots, why not pop by Bog Meadow Pond. For the period of the warmest time of the year at Ford Pond temperatures are commonly in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's; through the dark hours in the winter at Ford Pond temperatures plunge to the 10's. Ford Pond gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall; most of the rain falls through May, and the driest of the months is                  February. This lake is so wonderful. A striking lake like Hatch Pond in the neighborhood of Ford Pond is a great spot to have a look at, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Housatonic River. Have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Indian Trail, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Mohawk Mountain. And that's not all you can do here at Ford Pond. Camping is available at Housatonic Meadows State Park, and the snow is great at Ski Butternut. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Ford Pond you can take a hike along the Elbow Trail, and Sharon Motor Lodge is a good site to get some rest. That right there is lots already, but it carries on; Ford Pond has it all.
