Hilltop Pond
13 miles away
Hilltop Pond is a beautiful private pond. It's owned by the home owner on the top of the hill to the west and other adjoining land owners have pond rights. It's quite shallow, so it will always be in need of constant cleaning. The 42 acre pond is home to loads of wildlife and is the prime souce of water flowing into Macedonia State Park.

An interesting fact: The dam, rebuilt in the early 90's is made up of concrete blocks, each weighing over a ton. Environmental regulations wouldn't allow pouring cement into forms, so the large number of blocks were layed in place, held in place only by their individaul mass.

Jimmy Walker, the mayor of NYC would visit Hilltop Lodge, with his buddies. Hilltop Lodge was located on the west side of Weber Road where the road takes a bend well above about mid point in the length of the pond. The lodge burned to the ground in the 50's. There was no structure on the property from then until 1984, when the home to the north was constructed....

Hi there I live on Floren Pond and it is a gem of a small lake that currently has no houses on the west coast of the lake. The land is owned by homeowners with house further up from the lake. Therefore the lake has the look of a wilderness lake. The lake is privately owned but with permission I am sure you can go out on the lake and do some real fine fishing....

... trails and 3 terrain parks on 1,150 feet of vertical rise. Located in Hancock, MA, Jiminy Peak is capable of making snow on 93% of its terrain, and lighting 20 of its trails allowing for night skiing until 10pm. It is the home of the Berkshire Express, the region's only 6 passenger high-speed chairlift, which brings you to the summit in less than 5 minutes! The mountain is also served by 2 quads, 3 triples, a double, and two magic carpets.

In 2007, Jiminy Peak became the first ski resort to construct its own wind turbine on property, for the purpose of powering its operations. Named Zephyr, the turbine stands 386 feet tall, and produces about a third of the total energy requirements of the resort.

Jiminy Peak's Base Area includes a beautiful Village Center that addresses all of your needs. As you arrive and unload in the drop off area, you first notice the Paul Major welcome center. Inside you'll find the Guest Services desk, as well as a Renewable Energy Education Center. Across the way, the conveniently located Burbank Children's Center is home to Jiminy's SkiWEE and...
