This lake is so wonderful. Be careful coming to Farmington River Reservoir, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Bradley Brook flows through this vicinity; if you're here and you like golf, you can explore Simsbury Farms Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Mount Southington and strap some skis to your feet, and you have       to go to Zwick Point when you're here. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Nepaug Reservoir, and Collins Company Upper Dam is a delightful place. Ski Sundown is a very popular ski area around here, and after a long day outdoors Avon Old Farms is a delightful spot to spend a night or two. The Tunxis Trail is a good hiking trail in close proximity to Farmington River Reservoir, and why not camp at American Legion State Forest if you're here at Farmington                  River Reservoir. At Farmington River Reservoir through the summer months highs are in the 70's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Farmington River Reservoir. Farmington River Reservoir gets a lot of water; the month with most of the rain is June, and February on the other hand is the driest. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Farmington River Reservoir. If you're visiting Farmington River Reservoir from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford, you won't be the only one, and from Farmington River Reservoir you obtain a great sight of Huckleberry Hill. If the weather is magnificent here at Farmington River Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Metacomet Trail, and soar down the rapids of Farmington River - Riverton in a kayak. There is a nice hiking trail near Farmington River Reservoir called the Mattatuck Trail, and Stratton Brook State Park is a good spot to stop at on a pretty day.
