Huckleberry Hill can be observed from Farmington River Reservoir, and unsurprisingly, this is a good vicinity for people who like lakes, Nepaug Reservoir is a lake around here. You're in all probability hooked on lakes, Farmington River Reservoir is one of those nearby; a quick spree to Bradley Brook is absolutely a pleasant idea. Don't leave Farmington River Reservoir       without first going for a hike along the Mattatuck Trail, and folks from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford love to come here. Camping at Austin Hawes Campground is always a perfect experience, and dry warm beds await you at Residence Inn By Marriott Hartford Avon. All the water falling down from the sky makes Farmington River Reservoir a wet spot; June is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful.                  Going for a hike on the Metacomet Trail is always a splendid adventure, and whitewater paddling is good on Farmington River - Collinsville. Summertime highs at Farmington River Reservoir mostly tend to be in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Farmington River Reservoir. Get soaked paddling on Farmington River - Riverton, and if you need a place to stay Centennial Inn Suites is a fine choice. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. You can never get enough of the good skiing at Mount Southington, and Farmington River Reservoir is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, American Legion State Forest is a glorious local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Stratton Brook State Park is both wonderful and beautiful, and it's in close proximity to Farmington River Reservoir, and Zwick Point is not far at all. There are splendid spots to explore along the Tunxis Trail, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Ski Sundown while you're here. Now, you may believe that's loads but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Farmington River Reservoir.
