    If you like lakes and you're in this part of Connecticut you can check out Farmington Reservoir. Don't forget to take a nice little tour to Great Brook, and there's whitewater on Farmington River - Collinsville for all you adrenaline people. Swamps don’t sound that fine but Dead Wood Swamp near Farmington Reservoir is relatively fine, and you can run the rapids of Farmington River. Be careful coming to Farmington Reservoir, you might not ever want to return home  
   again. A golf course close to Farmington Reservoir is Tunxis Plantation Country Club, and going for a hike along the Metacomet Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.
If the weather is perfect here at Farmington Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Mattabesset Trail, and if you need a place to stay Centennial Inn Suites is a wonderful choice. Farmington Reservoir is a pretty wet place usually with a great deal of rain; the month with
 
               most of the rain is May; the driest month is February. On a wonderful day you acquire a sight of Farmington Mountain from Farmington Reservoir; since you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford.
This lake is so wonderful. There's always Farmington Reservoir Dam to stop by near Farmington Reservoir; Loon Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Farmington Reservoir. A lake close by is Paderewski Pond, and the slopes of Powder Ridge are so inviting noone can resist. This lake is so wonderful. A visit to Talcott Mountain State Park when you're here at Farmington Reservoir is never a bad idea, and Mount Southington is a pleasant local ski area.
While you're here at Farmington Reservoir you can take a hike along the Tunxis Trail; you can stay the night at American Legion State Forest. This lake is so wonderful. Through the summer at Farmington Reservoir temperatures are regularly in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's while Farmington Reservoir night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's.
Farmington Reservoir is a glorious site to visit for more than one day, Camp Eagle Feather is a glorious site to camp nearby; after a long day outdoors The Farmington Inn is a good site to spend a night or two.
