    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Lake Erie. What a place this is for outdoors people. Why not camp at Camp Eagle Feather if you're here at Lake Erie, and if you get bored of Lake Erie you could also stop at close by Beaverdam Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Stub Pond Dam, and Ski Sundown has glorious slopes and a friendly staff. Throughout the summertime months, highs usually are in the 70's at  
   Lake Erie, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lake Erie.
Lake Erie regularly gets much rain; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Blue Fox Run Golf Course is a golf course in the neighborhood of Lake Erie, and dry warm beds await you at Residence
 
               Inn By Marriott Hartford Avon. Good hiking is available along the Metacomet Trail, and Lake Erie is not the only place close by, Hartford Reservoir Number 1 is a close by lake.
After a long day outdoors Avon Old Farms is a splendid spot to spend a night or two; lots of folks from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford come here. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Erie; Tunxis Trail is a great local trail; there's whitewater on Farmington River - Collinsville for all you adrenaline rush seekers. Golden Acres Campground is a fine local campground, and why not pop by a swamp like Hart Meadow if you're here at Lake Erie.
Lake Erie truly is in the middle of a stunning outdoors paradise. There's some flowing water close by, Nod Brook is a stream you can stop by while here; a journey to Talcott Mountain State Park invigorates the spirit. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Mattabesset Trail. You can run the rapids of Farmington River close to Lake Erie, and Mount Southington is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood.
At Lake Erie you can see Avon Mountain, and Newton Brainard Forest is a tremendous local forest.
