Horseshoe Cove is close to Ensign Bickford Pond and is positively a great site to stop by, and going for a hike on the Metacomet Trail is always a glorious adventure. Ensign Bickford Pond is a wet site that gets much rainfall; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is January. You believe that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. An afternoon
playing golf at Simsbury Farms Golf Course is always a pleasure; you'll probably meet some people from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford here. This lake is so wonderful. Simsbury Inn is a pleasant place to get some rest.

Hill can be observed from Ensign Bickford Pond, and you can go for a hike on the County Road Trail. There are some great whitewater spots on Farmington River; Terrys Plain is a good location. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater
paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Farmington River - Collinsville; don't leave Ensign Bickford Pond without first going for a hike along the Link Trail.
A nice spot to camp here at Ensign Bickford Pond is Southwick Acres Campground, and why not go to Ensign Bickford Dam if you're here.
