    If you are in this part of Connecticut make sure to pay a visit to Ensign Bickford Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Three Corner Pond is a nearby lake that you could explore, and Ensign Bickford Pond is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Golden Acres Campground is a delightful local campground. Grimes Brook flows through this region, and if you need a place to stay Simsbury 1820 House is a great choice. Skiing at Ski Sundown is one of those things  
   you just have to do; if you're here, you could also stop by stunning Spring Pond.
Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in close proximity to Ensign Bickford Pond. Horseshoe Cove is close to Ensign Bickford Pond and is positively a great site to stop by, and going for a hike on the Metacomet Trail is always a glorious adventure. Really glorious skiing awaits you at Mount Southington, and Stratton Brook State Park is a good site. High temperatures
 
               at Ensign Bickford Pond through the months of summer are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows during the wintertime for Ensign Bickford Pond tend to be in the 0's.
Ensign Bickford Pond is a wet site that gets much rainfall; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is January. You believe that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. An afternoon playing golf at Simsbury Farms Golf Course is always a pleasure; you'll probably meet some people from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford here. This lake is so wonderful. Simsbury Inn is a pleasant place to get some rest.
Williams Hill can be observed from Ensign Bickford Pond, and you can go for a hike on the County Road Trail. There are some great whitewater spots on Farmington River; Terrys Plain is a good location. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Farmington River - Collinsville; don't leave Ensign Bickford Pond without first going for a hike along the Link Trail.
A nice spot to camp here at Ensign Bickford Pond is Southwick Acres Campground, and why not go to Ensign Bickford Dam if you're here.
