Ely Pond is a nice lake to visit. This lake is so wonderful. All the water falling down from the sky makes Ely Pond a wet site; through May this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Paddling on Farmington River is so much fun; Talcott Mountain State Park is both great and gorgeous. Summertime highs at Ely Pond frequently tend to be in the 80's while nighttime lows are typically in the 50's. All through the winter

Ely Pond, and delightful skiing awaits you at Ski Sundown. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Ely Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Sodom Mountain Campground is a perfect place for that, and Blue
Fox Run Golf Course is a great golf course close by. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Ely Pond. Whitewater paddling is delightful on Farmington River - Collinsville, and there are tremendous sites to look
at along the Metacomet Trail. Skiing at Mount Southington is one of those things you just must do, and let's not forget Nod Brook which is a stream that you may come across during your stay. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a
hike on the Tunxis Trail; after a long day outdoors Avon Old Farms is a good site to spend a night or two. Don't leave Ely Pond without first going for a hike along the Mattabesset Trail, and at Talcott Reservoir Diversion Dike next
to Ely Pond there are some attention-grabbing things to see. While you're here at Ely Pond you will meet lots of people from nearby Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford, and swamps are interesting sites and Hart Meadow near Ely Pond
is no exception. If you need a spot to stay Residence Inn By Marriott Hartford Avon is a great choice, and there's a forest here called Newton Brainard Forest.
