After a long day outdoors The Mayflower Inn & Spa is a perfect place to spend a night or two, and going for a hike on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail is always a fine adventure. Paddling on Bantam River is so much fun, and there are other places here than Eel Pond, for example Straits Pond. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is pleasant at Woodbury; if you came to camp Housatonic Meadows State Park is a brilliant place to do that. This lake is so wonderful.

| | Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Shepaug River. There's so much to do here at Eel Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Waramaug State Park is a fine place for that. So much exciting stuff near Eel Pond, truly fantastic. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Mohawk Mountain, and not far from Eel Pond you'll find Gritman Pond which is a scenic lake. by Lake Waramaug State Park, and don't leave Eel Pond without first going for a hike along the Elbow Trail. Summertime at Eel Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's; the night is a little colder of course, generally in the
50's. All through the winter highs are mostly in the 30's, and overnight lows at Eel Pond through the wintertime usually drop into the 10's. Having a perfect time at Eel Pond is easy. There are plenty of people from Torrington
here at Eel Pond, and why not explore Gritman Pond Dam while you're here. An average amount of precipitation falls at Eel Pond; most of the rain falls throughout June; January meanwhile is the driest month.
