This lake is so wonderful. Mansfield Hollow State Park is a tremendous place, and Wolf Rock is painless to spot from Echo Lake. A magnificent close by hotel is Best Western Regent Inn, and camping at Nickerson Park Camp Grounds is always a magnificent experience. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Natchaug River; Turnip Meadow is a swamp near Echo Lake. A       lake close by is Mansfield Hollow Lake, and Mansfield Hollow Dam has splendid water scenery. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Salmon River. This lake is so wonderful. Nathan Hale Inn And Conference Center is a brilliant location to get some rest; if you get bored of Echo Lake you could also pop by nearby Chapins Pond. All the water falling down from the sky makes Echo Lake a wet location; November is when you                  get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Man, is there a heap of cool things to do near Echo Lake. Lots of folks from Willimantic come to Echo Lake, and a great place to camp here at Echo Lake is Brialee Campground. High temperatures at Echo Lake through the summertime are in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's.
