This is a popular place for people from Willimantic, and on a great day you can pop by Thompson Meadows, a swamp next to Duck Pond. Paddling on Quinebaug River is so much fun, and as expected, all our national parks are magnificent sites to stop at and Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is no exception. This lake is so wonderful. A nice site to camp here at Duck Pond is West Thompson Campground, also Reams Pond Dam is worth visiting

| | while you're here. Some close by water includes Baptist Brook, and camping is available at Buck Hill Family Campground. a hike along the Border Trail, and if you're here and you like golf, you can take a look at Harrisville Golf Course. Duck Pond commonly gets a lot of rain; the month with most of the rain is November while February is commonly
the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Reams Pond; Davis Hill is clearly visible from Duck Pond. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place!
Duck Pond is great! The Inn at Woodstock Hill is a delightful location to get some rest, and get wet paddling on Clear and Branch. Through the days of summer highs here at Duck Pond reach the 80's while nighttime lows are generally
in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are usually in the 30's, and night lows during the winter for Duck Pond tend to be in the 10's. This is a tremendous area for folks who like lakes. Reams Pond is a lake close by, and there's great hiking along the Walkabout Trail.
