| | nice neighborhood for people who like lakes. Bantam Lake is a lake close by, and Bantam Project Dam has pleasant water scenery. Duck Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is February. stay at Duck Pond do visit nearby Litchfield Town Beach; here at Duck Pond you can catch a sight of Apple Hill. Go for a hike on the Mattatuck Trail, and Bantam River is a wonderful whitewater spot close by. Summertime highs at
Duck Pond generally tend to be in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Duck Pond drop into
the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. There's great hiking along the Naugatuck Trail; a journey to Mt. Tom State Park revives the spirit. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Cozy Hills Campground if you're here at Duck Pond,
and Mohawk Mountain has perfect slopes and a friendly staff. So much amusing stuff to do at Duck Pond, so little time. Spend the day on the beach at Morris Town Beach while you're here at Duck Pond; a wonderful place to camp here
at Duck Pond is Looking Glass Hill Campgrounds. Woodbury is a very popular ski area close by, and golf can be played at Stonybrook Golf Course. If you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Shepaug River, and there are plenty of folks from Torrington here.
